My name is Anthony, owner of JellyBean Painters; a custom residential/commercial painting company, proudly serving the beautiful historic city of St. John’s and surrounding area.  I am a certified (Red Seal) journeyman painter, a skilled decorative artist  and decorative plasterer with a passion for continuous learning that has helped me to develop a wide range of skills that can help transform any space into something both unique and beautiful or to maintain and preserve historic aesthetics.

Quality workmanship based on traditional values –

I have a deep appreciation for how things were done in the ‘old days’; where an effort was made to design and build things that would stand the test of time. It is my belief that, ‘if its worth doing, then its worth doing it right the first time’.  I use top quality tools, equipment and products in order to protect and preserve exteriors or to create interior environments that are much more aesthetically pleasing and able to stand the test of time compared to any work that is focused on speed of production with the use of cheap materials.

A note on the benefits of estimates over fixed quotes and using quality paint over cheap paint.

Estimates: Because in no other type of work are there more varying conditions, there is no set formula for giving a precise cost and time frame to complete a job.

Estimates instead of fixed quotes are the best way to ensure a job is done properly using quality materials.  Fixed quotes only encourage rushed work using cheap materials, which is not in a client’s best interest.  With estimates, a job can be afforded the time to do it properly using quality materials. It is the best way for both the client and painter.

The benefits of using top quality paint as appose to using cheap paint.  When it comes to paint, the cheaper it is, the more it can cost in the long run.  With labor costing more than paint, cheap paint tends to take more coats to cover properly (especially with a colour change) which means more time and it will rarely last longer or provide the protection needed than a quality paint will. This is particularly the case for exterior applications.

It is always my intention to do any job in a timely manner using the best tools, equipment and materials.  By working smart and steady, a job can be completed in a timely manner and in almost all cases, the end result adds value well beyond the cost of having the job done.
